It started when I put in an aftermarket Becker radio. Its alarm light flashes when car is locked, but could it be the little cable in the back needs to be grounded (or at +12V)?
There is a ground wire that is attached on the left side of the frame that the radio slides into. Disconnect this wire and you should be good.

Take a look at the right side of the below photo. You will see where the ground wire is attached.

DISCONNECT? Really? I was sure that the point was to keep it connected. So how does that work? I'll try it tomorrow if I can find the radio keys.

Yeah disconnect it. If you leave in there you may find that this grounds and sets alarm off randomly. Designed so that if you park with roof down and someone tries to extract radio it sets alarm off.
Alternative is to stick felt to side of radio , per the radio that will have come out of car, think it's on LHS of radio.
