ya know what really bugs me...
...when idiots in their frickin minivans or saturns try to keep up with me or in front of me through the canyon or where-ever and they're weaving all over the damn place. like i'm gonna think wow, that fat ass slob in their POS is really fast , hmmm why did i buy a porsche?
actually what i hate, is the fact that not only are they ruining my little spirited jaunt (cuz i've peeled back from them just in case they wreck - now only to have the jack-ass in his 42' high ford pickup riding my ass to prove something), but if and when they wreck, i'm mandated by law to stop and save the bastard!!!!! well, maybe i'll let them die a little and then kick into trapper john md mode!!!!!
i need my own autobahn

We live in California get used to it. With the Boxster it seems some people are really nice to let me in parking spots etc. and they will throw me a thumbs up. Sometimes I can tell alot of older males get jealous and they will floor it just to make sure I dont get a spot. Human Nature what can you do?

are you really mandated to stop and help?
I thought that just a Seinfeld episode.
My favorite is the highway guy in the right lane who sees me trying to move to the right to make the next highway exit, looks right at me and speeds up just to be a dcik hade

I didn't know you were dyslexic, Lap!
I've gotten to the point where I just slow down and let the head-dckis go past. I do have fun, however, going around curves without having to break while the vans, SUKs and pick-up trucks risk rolling if they try it.

It is kinda fun to take the tailgaters into the exit ramp curves way too fast and watch them wallow at the apex.

i hear you poet -- the best is a long one lane exchange ramp that splits into two and then curves -- draft the fast pokes, let them pick the lane, the hit the other and slam it as you blow by them on the turn -- heh -- i'm thinking of the del mar 110 on ramp to 134 west, fwiw (just did it again moments ago, btw) -- full two laners work, too -- watch em try to keep up (thinking of the 2s to 134e ramp -- a long and curved exchange ramp) -- woot!

yeah, i never understand the need to speed up so that you can't pass - guess for some people with their miserable lives, such piss-ant road tactics provide some aberrant sense of purpose.
i do have a theory, though about the left lane malingerer who speeds up 5-10mph upon getting in the right lane to supposedly let you pass. i think as people turn to the right, they also shift more weight to their right foot, thereby accelerating. the same principle holds true for moving into the left lane - shifting to the left, they reduce pressure on their right foot, thereby decelerating. this is from chapter 4 of my book - theories of why people are dumbf%^&s on the road. chapter 7 explores that people drive like herds of animals, clumping together into traffic clusters - chapter 8, drivers, much like moths attracted to light, are attracted to other cars, especially those in parallel lanes on the freeway! however, with that one, i sometimes forget it may be my fault as i've neglected to dis-engage the stealth mode on my boxster - can't blame the other driver if my car is invisible, right???

Oh man! You mean I'm not the only person in the world who composes books like that in my head?
