I've found a company listed on E-Bay that has decals available to replace the flaking, and peeling, button finishes on the 1997-2004 Boxster and 911 model climate control unit. I searched everywhere trying to find a set of decals to cover the peeling buttons in my Boxster. I finally found a company that custom made me a set. I have the finished product in my hands, and it's perfect. I figured this could save many people a lot of grief in keeping the interior of their car looking great with a minimal amount of effort. There's no need to remove the climate control unit. Just apply the new decals to the button surface. The cost is $9.95 including shipping. The link to the E-Bay site is
