02 Boxster 3.4

Hi, recently purchased a Boxster with a 99 3.4 conversion, the shop that did the work did not put a dipstick tube in it, he said that it would not fit, in doing some research I cannot see anywhere that is the case, the car has the electronic oil measurement on the Dash, but I like to have the dipstick there as well, can anyone who has done this before fill me in on whether this is correct (I think not) and, if do-able, what I will need to fix it.
Thanks

I have a 2002 chasis with a 3.4 conversion and a dip stick. Car was like this when I purchased so I cannot give you details on install, but it is definitely doable.
