Side vent upgrade?

Thinking about replacing the side vent/intake on my 01 with the 03 ones, they seem to look allot better, is this just a matter of the 2 parts and painting? I have not had a close look at the 03 part.

Anyone done this??

I wasn't aware they were different. Are you just talking about body colored vent slats instead of black? If so, you can just get them painted or buy a new set pre-painted to your body color.... Preferably the body color of your Boxster.

Apparently there was a change. Do a search for this thread "Side Vent Replacement".

After some research the part numbers are:

986 504 561 03 g2x
986 504 562 03 g2x

Looks like you paint em and drop em in.
Cost is about $260 for the pair + Paint, so it's got to be worth it to you.
