Received a check today for the same amount. Is it real or a scam?

It's real. Sylvania was sued over the Silver Star bulbs because among other things they only lasted about week (I exaggerate) I received a post card over a year ago stating a setlement had been reached At that time they we talking about $10. I guess we got interest.

I believe there is a thread somewhere on this forum about the law suit.

No Cheesecake Factory for you.

It's the dollar menu Bro. That's where you'll be eating.

Once more the lesson is German car owners should be past shopping at PepBoys. In terms of things automotive, the USA is a third world country.

Osram Silverstars last as long as normal halogens and aren't blue, but you may have to order them from the UK.

No check here. And I forgot how many of those things I put into my car (2004-6). They truly were garbage.
