$#%@#!@!! Car Mats

Without buying new mats has anybody come up with a way to secure the drivers mat and keep it from riding forward. I have nice new carpeted mats but can't think of a good solution! Any help is appreciated.

My mats came with a plastic gizmo that hooks to the carpet like Velcro and holds the mat in place...

If you can't find these on amazon.com you may want to try a roll of that area rug pad stuff with removable stickiness on one side and grippy rubber surface on the other side. You could affix a strip or two of it to the bottom of your new floor mat and see if it keeps it in place.

Velcro. If you have a needle and thread, stitch 2 or 3 of the hook side Velcro strips to the underside. It grabs the floor carpet very well.

Mine was doing the same thing, the Velcro disks that screw in to the floor had worn out. I got a new set from Suncoast for around $25, 2 per side for a total of 4. I don't recall the part number. If they still have any of the clearance 987 mats at Suncoast, those come with a new set of the Velcro disk and are actually cheaper than buying the disks by themselves.

The mats don't fit the 986 but it is a super cheap way to get 4 of the disks and you can use the mats around the house for something

Loyds

My wife gave me a set for my birthday 2 years ago, they have a quick buckle that attaches to the seat posts...impossible for them to move forward...and quick to take out and clean...forget the old velcro round attachment process
