How to jimmy a locked gas hatch?

Hi, I recently posted about a problem I am experiencing with my boxster 2007 door locks after having a technician run a diagnostic...
A day after he ran the diagnostic, I noticed that doors wont lock, any attempt to lock them with remote or key-in-door, you hear two quick horn beeps, a click, but doors don't lock.
I planned to get intouch with the guy ASAP, but now I went to get gas and I noticed the gas door is locked and wont open when I press the button.

I need to get gas before I can drive to see the technician.. is there a way to jimmy the gas hatch? There's a bit or room around the edges, maybe slip a plastic knife in there? Thanks

There is a black plastic pull ring inside the passenger door jam.

A beep would indicate something I no closed or latched. Glovebox or compartment between the seats. Just a idea.

Not sure about the 07 car but if you turn the key counter clockwise 2 times in the door lock will it open the hatch? Lots of tricky things about German cars and keys so you need to learn the protocol.
