Modifed Boxster -what is going on here

Hello:

I'm new to the forum - I just purchased a 2001 Boxster S manual with a lot of upgrades. Most of them I can figure out - the Kenwood DNX890HD GPS/entertainment system, the projector headlights, etc. I have three switches on the dashboard that have me mystified. Three of the switches on the middle dash area have been replaced - one has two LED lights, the middle one has one big LED light, and the bottom one is a rotary switch and a potentiometer, like a selector and a volume knob. I'm guessing the middle one is an IMS "chip detector" light like the IMS Guardian. The top one and bottom one I have no idea. They are not related to the entertainment system - it has separate volume controls.

Any suggestions? Anyone seen a setup like this before?
Thanks

looks like a sub woofer level control knob check behind seats if he previously installed low profile subs wires ? then maybe took it out before he sold it to you

I would bet money on a radar detector. I had the same thing in my car. It is probably a K40 brand. If you turn the knob do you here some beeping?

Cant' you just ask the previous owner what all those switches are for?

If you pop out the trim piece you might be able to see what it is. On my car there was a circuit board with K40 printed on it behind the knob.
