I just got the Autel MaxiDiag Elite MD802 for $230 on Amazon. I used it to reset my airbag light. It can access SRS, ABS, and many other systems. It can also display and graph live data, graph two PIDs in one graph for comparison, record data onto an SD card, for playback later, an has a DC port so you can power it on without connecting to the car. I think it's a very powerful tool for the price, especially when you have other makes than Porsche like I do.

It's true that Durametric is Porsche specific.

I recently used it on my 2003 Honda to confirm the famous airbag light that's due to a worn belt buckle. Was able to fix that and clear the code.

Original or clone Durametric cable for basic diagnostic needs, read DTCs, reset abs, srs, etc
But for full access to control units, Update/program modules, wiring diagram etc, PIWIS system is needed, but it is not cheap
