P0341 Code but runs great? Huh?

97 base model - 2.5.

Replaced the AOS last fall and shortly after got a P0341. Thing is, she ran fine, and has ever since. But, I have to pass emissions test soon and a CEL is death to that.

Thinking I shorted or dislodged a connector or pinched a wire in the AOS surgery but a few weeks ago I checked and could find nothing-although it a pretty tight squeeze just to eyeball.

Any advice would be appreciated, as simple as possible as I'm a grade C wrench at best.

Thanks,

Jb

P0341 indicates that the cam position sensor on bank 1 has either an implausible signal or is shorted to ground.
