Another oil change and surprise

Well, I have had my Boxster for just over a year now and just did my 3rd oil change.

Cut open the oil filter and low and behold I found............

Oil, plain old oil and nothing else

Sent an oil sample out to Cat for analysis. Per JR, they do a much better test than Blackstone and I was surprised to find out it's cheaper as well, only $18.

I should have the results in a few days. It will be interesting to compare it to a Blackstone report. I saved another sample as well and may send it to Blackstone to see how the numbers compare with Cat

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones (knock on wood)

local Caterpillar (CAT) location. They do used oil analysis.

According to Jake Raby, it is a much better analysis than Blackstone

Can you please let us know how you got the analysis made thru CAT?
I am looking for a local CAT "dealer"...
Thanks!
