Porsche's new home

I snapped this photo earlier this week coming in for a landing at the ATL airport. This is the back side of Porsche's new "home" in the USA built at the end of the runway on the east side of the airport where the old Ford factory used to be.

It looks like there is a large deck overlooking a small road course and skid pad:

Very cool. I've heard they have a museum in there, but cannot confirm via google? Does anyone know, or is the only museum in Stuttgart>

The facility is due to open in early June. Press releases stated that there would be a museum, but I've never seen any details.

More info on the Atlanta center that opened last week. From the video, it looks like they have a small 'museum' collection including a GT1, LMP2 RS Spyder, 962, a 917K as well as some Brumos 911's. More info and full video here:

Wow, that is really an impressive site. But think about what kinds of profits it takes to build a HQ like that?

Big dollars. No, I mean REALLY big dollars, like these: $$$$$

And that is why I buy used Porsche's. I see no reason to contribute several thousand of my dollars to the Porsche "Taj Mahal" fund. Just sayin'.
