Clutch questions

So, as I split my trans case back open to install the part I missed (goes between the two halves) (I am just a little pissed I missed this)


I realized the new " pivot post" the clutch arm pivots on is much longer in the new clutch kit than the stubby post that was in there.

How will this affect the clutch feel and action?

Question #2. If you know what that mystery part is, please chime in. It's not a guide between the halves. I know that now.

Looks like the engine to bellhousing alignment bushing. Is the I.D. 10mm?

That was my first thought too, here is another thread (you may have already seen) with info about the alignment dowels.

Sweet. I can check and install that correct. Any thoughts on a longer pivot post?
