Out of Hibernation!

It has been a brutal long cold winter in Ontario. I finally sprung my 1999 Boxster from her winter home. 5 months without Boxster therapy is way too long.

Know exactly how you feel. I got mine out three weeks ago. Felt deprived from the last of October until the first of March. Lots of smiles now!

Got my baby out last weekend. Nearly 6 months of Boxster withdrawal and a bitter cold winter to remind me every day that I wasn't out in the sun with the top down and a smile on my face.

Yup - same here... I could have gotten her out a few weeks ago already but I usually wait until the majority of the salt and sand is off the road. Got mine out a week ago as well and managed to burn off half the tank of stored gas...
Time to get out and do some driving

I live in the northeast and yes we also had a very cold winter. I do not put my 986 away. There are always a few days here and there throughout each month in the winter that are good enough to drive. Mid 30's and above are good enough for me. If the oil sits, doesn't circulate and gets acidic is the worst thing for the IMS bearing. Plus I just like to drive it all year long...

Unfortunately I haven't been able to take mine out yet due to 2 different expansion tanks that ended up having leaks. I can't believe that I will have to do the job for a third time and will have to order one from Porsche because the after market ones are very cheaply made.
