VW Corrado VR6 and G60 had a wing that goes up and down with speed. The VW Beetle Turbo has a wing on the top of the window that goes and down with speed. The Mercedes cheap car uhh. C230 I think? The smaller sports coupe they made (looks quite like a Corrado to be honest) with the 1.9L Kompressor motor had a wing that goes up and down with speed. The Bugatti Vayron has a wing that goes up and down with speed. I'm sure there are others but I can't think of more right now...

The Corrado did that in 1990, so maybe before Porsche? What was the earliest Porsche with a motorized wing?

I believe the new Audi TT has a retractable spoiler also.

Ha, that's funny. The first car I thought of was the VW Corrado! I wanted one of those so bad in high school.

Chrysler Crossfire
mid-90's Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 (even had an "active-spoiler" in the front)

Those are a couple that come to mind off the top of my head.

It's not a wing; its a spoiler (sorry no details, I didn't pay attention in the 986Forum class a couple of weeks ago.) This site says the retractable spoiler was first introduced in 1988:

that makes 18 years now, that's a long time, it is surprising that not many other car company followed suite and fit rear spoilers (thanks jim) on their cars.

thanks
