The race car shown in post #14 looks like a 550 with a 718 style back.

The 718 RSK had these slots because of better air intake. The 718 was a pure race car.

As far a i know the stock 550 Spyder never had these slots.

Found this picture - named RS Spyder #44. But that also seems to be a 718.
