My Box Learned A New Trick

As of today, when I use the key fob to lock the doors I get a horn chirp 5 to 15 seconds after I lock the doors. What gives?

you have something open like the oddments tray (arm rest) or glove box or door or frunk or trunk

or you pressed the button twice

or one of the switches is bad on one of the above

I learned the hard way mine was the door locking mechanism one of the switches plugs into. Now I have 2 new switches and interior mechanism. Was on passenger side figured it out by the window not coming down as the door is opened.

That's true. It does sound kinda wimpy, but I don't understand why. I remember hearing it and thinking to myself, oh no, is that a sign that my battery is dead? Is my alternator not charging? Will it unlock and have enough juice to start back up? Paranoia sets in when I hear that lol
