Going in for 60k service a little early

Going home yesterday and my check engine light came on so I decided to drop her off today for service even though I'm 1,000 miles short of 60k and my usual 5k oil change. Car drives fine so it will be interesting to see what's the cause of the check engine light. While she's in it's time for a set of spark plugs, filters, fresh oil and get the rear wheel bearings replaced as one of them started to roar.

I picked up an OBD II scanner shortly after buying the Boxster but nowdays you can buy the bluetooth adapters for Apple or Android.
This imho is a must have along with "101 Projects for Your Porsche Boxster". One goes in the arm the rest the other on your phone.

I have 101 Projects but have to look into this. Fortunately I trust the owner of the shop so I'm not worried about being sold unneeded repairs. I use to do this stuff myself but between lack of time, bad back, lack of a proper lift and reasonable shop rates I let others do the work.
