Another Rim size question

I cannot find the required information. I have a 97 base Boxster. (17"Rims). I have been offered some 17" rims from a 2001 Boxster S. Curious if anyone knows if the wheels are standard same size. Don't want to buy spacers etc. Just looking to swap rims out.

Should be totally interchangeable, 17" wheels from any 986 Boxster should be a good fit with no spacers required.

The fronts should be 7X17 ET 55mm
Backs should be 8.5X17 ET 48mm or 50mm

Its actually from an 07 Boxster S.
FRONT 6.5 JX 17H2 OFFSET 55MM
REAR 8J X 17H2 OFFSET 40MM

These are the measurements of the new rims. I see they are slightly different, Will they still fit?

Still would fit. If you're lowered worst case scenario you have to run a 5-10mm spacer to clear your strut!

Man the width of those wheels are small. Is it the 97 model that you can't go with larger wheels on due to structural integrity?

18 inch definitely fits without spacers

The size is 225/40/18 and 265/35/18

My Porsche specialist explained not to go for 19 because of the body (wishbone). But 18 definitely is safe!!!!

I know this question maybe basic to some. but for me I can't figure it out. I figure the answer is yes. but just want to make sure.

I am buying some porsche rims.

I have stock turbo twists 17" I am buying stock boxster S rims 17"

sizes:

FRONT 6.5 JX 17H2 OFFSET 55MM
REAR 8J X 17H2 OFFSET 40MM

Will my current almost tires fit these rims? 205/50R17 and 255/40R17.

thx

Front tires are a good fit. The rear tires are pushing beyond the recommended size for an 8" width wheel.

Install them. After you have worn out the center of the tire and get less traction go get the proper size tire for that rim, which are 225, 235 ideal and 245 max.

Do the rims have to be staggered ? I have the option of 18" but all four of the are 8.5x18. with 255/55/18 tires.
