I love my boxster S, had it 8 months, 3 of those it's been up on ramps because I wanted to make her perfect again (she's 14 years old). Sailed through the mot and the guy doing the checks kept saying how much he liked the car and "she's had some money spent on her" especially when he saw the exhaust, he loved the brakes too
Problem is though I only seem to get looks from old ladies and kids (not the attention I'm looking for) but now and again you see the occasional fit lass take an interest. I've modded my ebay exhaust and I've got rid of most of the drone (what is there is not really annoying), 'tis a little quieter but still sounds louder than the original.
I'm never getting rid of it, if I get shacked up with kids I'll get a cheap 4 door and make do, the Porsche is mine come hell or high water.

On my '02 Boxster:
1) Something's always rattling, mostly from the soft top assembly, I think
2) The remote key works when it feels like (I changed the batteries)
3) The CDR-220 stereo is a joke and my sample only has two dash speakers (none in the doors)
4) The fuel gauge sometimes only goes up to 3/4 full
5) On the passenger side, the keyhole on the door seems to be a dud. Nothing happens when I put in the key and twist. Thankfully, it does lock via central locking.
6) Cup holders in the dash don't seem like a bright idea.
7) The ignition is on the wrong side
8) All the holes/compartments are too small

^^All this vaporizes the moment I gun the engine and pull out of the drive-way

The ignition is exactly where it should be, so you can start the car with your left hand and put it in gear with your right hand at the same time. It's an old Porsche Le Mans thing.
