Premium Fuel?

I was curious if you really needed to run premium fuel in a Porsche. I know in my other cars the manufacture recommends it (Mercedes), but a lot of people, including some Mercedes techs, say it isn't necessary. That the computer will adjust the engine to what ever you put in it. The manufacture only recommends using premium fuel to meet their claimed HP and MPG ratings. I'm not sure I would run anything but premium in my Porsche even if they said it would be fine, why take the chance and I want all the HP I can get. I was just curious.

The short answer is to run premium if you want the car to perform well. If one is happy with sub-par performance from this car to save $3.00 a week, more power to them!

To put a picture in your signiture you have to post a picture on a image hosting site. I use photobucket.com. Once you upload your photo to the site it will give you a link to copy and past into your signiture. In the case of photobucket it gives you three different links. Url:, Tag:, and Img:. You want to use the Img:. Just copy the entire line, starting with the [IMG] and ending with the [IMG]. If you don't know how to edit your signiture just go to "edit your profile" and in there is "edit your signiture"

You may half to adjust the size of you picture a few times to get it the right size for a signiture. The first one I posted was HUGE!

I look foward to seeing your 987 S
