I was able to look at the window clamps today, and the window had actually moved a 1/4" aft based on the residual dirt line left behind from the original position. I simply adjusted the clamps and all is well again.

I just don't understand how it could have moved by itself.

Maybe a thief was prying against it?

maybe it was Gremlins....
