Coolant Expansion Tank Repair

]I was just wondering if anyone on this forum has tried to repair a cracked coolant tank instead of replacing it? I would love to know how it turned out and how you did the repair. I just pulled out my tank and will probably be ordering a new on but I was curious if this is a doable repair.

Not really. We have replaced more than a few "repaired" tanks that promptly began leaking again.

I know it was a real pita to get the tank out and I am wondering how the heck am I going to get those hoses back on once I replace it.

IIRC it was easier to put the thing back than it was to remove it.
