Arrow Starter motor lubrication: a useful link

Since I have some snowy months to kill, I thought I would address some common Boxster nuisances. A whiny cooling fan and a howling starter. I will probably buy a new Bosch fan but I thought I would clean and lube the sticking starter. I came across a good post with pictures on an Ottawa VW forum. Starting at step 12 you can see that it is essentially the same starter as in the Boxster/Carrera:

The removal is not too difficult (compared to other DIY things that I have done on my car). You need a bunch of socket extensions added together to make about 20 inches or so to get to that bottom bolt!
