That's a big project. I think you need to invest in a lift.
Great pic, especially of the tranny innards! don't see that very often

Don't forget to lock the cams at TDC before you start the IMS replacement

How hard was it to drop the tranny on jack stands?
I'm gonna need to do my clutch soon and am thinking of DIY

Dropped the trans in two, four-hour sessions. I took time to examine everything and pulled both axels. Most don't need to split the case or pull axels. Get a friend to help drop the trans. Everything else really is a simple DIY job. Very easy to access every bolt. I tend to take for granted the big space, benches, a welding shop, and great tools I bought with an estate I bought. Actually kind of fun and easy to work on.
