What If

If you had a salvaged Boxster S of the same model year as your base would you pull of the engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and DME from the S and put it in your base?

Everything should swap right over.
Sounds like a really big, really fun project.
Let us know when you get it done...

Nope.

I'd sell the salvage parts, sell the base, take the $ from it all and buy a nicer S car than my base was worth for less money.

Too much ass-pain in swapping everything out when I could sell the salvage parts, sell the base and shop for a better deal.

YMMV.

Its just in the thought phase. I'm really not looking to sell my base and buy an S. I bought this car as a project to do myself so its a learning experience for me. I could also on the same token sell all of the parts I pull off the base and all of the leftover parts from the S and break even if not make some money. I use my own sweat equity to save cash and buy tools with the money I save. Seems like a fun project to me, soon i will be moving from southern cali to ohio so my Boxster will sit alot
