How much does it cost you to renew your tabs each year?
Mine are $136 including a $25 contribution to the Wildlife Trout fund for my trout plate.
You? Who's state gouges them the most??
Oh, for BigJake, ask your parents....

Yeah, but they offer a great deal if you do two years for $180!!! Plus, we have e-tests every two years, there's another cost.

By tags I assume that means the annual car registration costs ??
Here in Australia (specifically for me in Queensland) it costs a paltry $715 per year..... cheap eh!!
But it does include for 3rd party accident medical insurance....
The government charges you by the amount of cylinders - 4 cylinder is cheaper than a six which is cheaper than an eight etc. - heaven knows what a V10 Audi or V12 BMW costs !!
And if you want a private plate - about $600 ++ extra.

For personalized tags in VA, it's $60. State inspection, which is separate, is another $16.
