This post makes me wonder how often this happens, especially at the quick oil change places where I take my other vehicles.

The oil change places I've seen use oil from a bulk drum, fed through a hose. The Motul oil I use in the Boxster has no foil either; the 5L jugs have a pull out spout like the ones you see on olive oil cans.

Yes, for the most part fed automatically, but certain brands are poured out of conventional quarts.......I'll check next time I take the Canyon in, I'm pretty sure I get the quarts as I use their Quaker State synthetic.
