Rodent Protection

I am going to take my boxster out of storage in the morning and just read through Jim's spring checklist (which can be found in a thread called "time to wake up" or something like that). It is a great read - thanks. One of the steps is to remove rodent traps etc. Since i live next to a golf course and some woods, i have rodent issues. (Since i moved in in may - Rodents 0, Home team 2 for those scoring) I thought i was crazy for worrying about mice in the box but it appears not. Are there traditional places they like to show up? Wheelwell? Interior? Its something i will have to continually check next winter.

Where you have to worry is with rats in the engine compartment. These guys eat wires and hoses and can literally cost you thousands in damage.

Rat poison is standard issue around my house.

On top of the engine. I love the smell of roasted acorns in the morning...

Next year, put some containers with moth balls or crystals in and around the Box. They hate the smell and stay away. I put one in each trunk, one in the space under the top over the engine and one in the passenger footwell.
