Porsche 913 Concept

Take a look at these artist renderings (via Photoshop) at what the Porsche 913 might look like. Porsche is planning the 913 to go up against the Ferrari 458.

It probably won't have a Turbo-4.

Nice concept but I think the front end styling needs quite a bit of work

Some of us like that look. Especially if we got to mess it up.

Looks like they borrowed the Ferrari 360 Modena front design.

looks like a 918 to me with a weird looking side and rear. There's no 'design flow' here like we see on the Macca P1 or Speciale. Now those are are great designs.

Just a thought.............and that's all it is, just a thought.

The high front end of the proposed Porsche 913, as well as the new Lamborghini Asterion, both strongly suggest additional electric power up front.

I think what you are seeing are results of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration imposing new laws on vehicle manufacturers to reduce pedestrian injury during front impact. I recall reading an article where Porsche was struggling with increasing the height of the front bumper and rounding the front corners to abide by the new laws. Have you noticed how much higher/taller the front grills are, and how rounded the overall front fenders/bumpers are on newer cars? Probably makes it more challenging for engineers to make unique designs, or keep the looks of the bloodline.

Within company sister cars are common, but a hyper car, that is new for sure. I guess the idea carries over though, the Porsche carries a different flavor and a flat engine, while the Lamborghini has the v10 and electric.

If they were to clean up those side vents to help with the engine temperature that would help reduce the massive size of those front vents. Those front vents to use some shrinking in height and brought forward a bit. That looks too deep into the front to look good. Some awkward shadows. But I'm in love with those LED-rimmed headlights.
