That's just a drop-in mod, correct? They just fit right in the old hole?

They actually bolt to the top of the existing pistons.

No you have to make a small adjustment, just 6mm to be exact.

How much did that nine8six HID retrofit set you back?

^ Norm should have spent little less than $380 for his retrofit ($355 for the kit, some RTV silicon sealant and a can of high temp black paint). Not cheap but mind you, those will last twice longer than the car itself. Precision machined and anodized! Those are not the common plastic/chrome coated shrouds you find everywhere for $40... i.e. they won't peal off & flake or discolor after 12~24 months

I'll jump in and join Norm RE the CGT style HID kit being the best mod done to my Boxster. Not as nice looking as Norm's, with his 911 flavor style/idea, but at least I'm convinced they are as functional as his.
