grille screens for front bumper ?

I recently purchased a 996 GT3 front bumper cover to go onto my 02 S. I'm thinking about adding some type of screens to help keep debris out of the radiators. Is this a good idea ? On one hand I like the idea of being able to reach through the openings with my hand to pull out stuff but on the other hand maybe the grilles would keep most stuff out. For those of you that have added screens what did you use and how did you keep them in place ? Pics would be great.

The screen material would deflect a large portion of air that should be flowing through the rads I would think....

This has been debated many times. The decrease in airflow is negligible and IMO is better than the loss of cooling caused by the build up of debris. There is a DIY on Pedro's site that uses gutter guard. Some use plastic, some use the aluminum. Mine are aluminum and work great. You can also buy prefab ones but they tend to be expensive.

That's a good looking front bumper, where did you get it? I recently bought a used 996 bumper, only to find it was the later version of headlights, so it won't fit. So I am still looking for a GT3 or Turbo style for my 986.
