it won't affect depreciation much. The fact that the 991/981 has been a big hit will do that all by itself.
When it comes to German luxury cars, the more popular a model is the worse it will fare out of warranty. Perhaps if these cars didn't require specialized labor and expensive parts it would be another matter. Supply and demmand are merciless.
OTOH, if like the final years of the air-cooled Carreras, Porsche had a hell of a time selling 991/981's, thereby reducing long term supply drastically, then maybe these newest Pcars might still be expensive once they've been 5,6,7 years out of warranty. But good luck with those DIY oil changes.
