a solution

I know why you did this, you bolted the triangular flanges together and could not get the cat-delete pipes to go in place

I had the same problem, tried for over 2 hours to get this to work and got up and walked away from the car. Then it hit me what to do..un bolt the flanges and install the cat-delete pipes into the couplers and then bolt on the flanges..it worked perfectly then. I never had to touch the muffler.

you may want to loosen the u-pipes to assist with alignment, or maybe shorten the cat delete pipes. I had to remove an inch from both pipes where the extension slipped on for proper alignment. be ready for a burning smell to come from the cat deletes for a couple hundred miles as the factory corrosion preventative burns off.
