Found something in my oil filter

Changed the oil today and then cut open the filter to see what might be lurking inside

Low and behold, I found OIL. That's right just plain old oil, no little green bits of plastic and no metal bits, nothing but oil! Daddy's a happy man

This was my first oil change since i got the car a few months ago. The oil had been changed right before it was listed for sale and it now was time for the 60K service and even though it was just a few 1000 miles since the last change, I figured it would not hurt. Besides I wanted to check the filter anyway

I am one happy camper! Took a sample and off to Blackstone it goes.

In case anyone is interested, Walmart has Mobil 1 0w-40w on sales right now, 5 quarts ~$23 that's ~$4.60 a quart!

You had me worried, sometimes it is pessimistic to read the thread titles and they all seem to be problems... your thread is a relief but i am mad that you tricked me . Anyways congrats on the good news from the "physical"

I found this rare never before seen footage of an IMS failure btw. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dQw4w9WgXcQ

It's my warped sense of humor.
I figured a good news post would be nice with all the bad news posts

How's your new yellow monster doing?

The "yellow bird" is great, filled up my first tank of gas on it yesterday!
