Cracked Windshield - Options?

A rock hit my windshield driving on the highway. I have a big star and a crack migrating across the windshield. I need a replacement.

What are my options?

Thanks.

Tony

You answered your own question; replace it.
Way too big to fill.

Doesn't that just ruin your day? I hate when that happens.

Most insurance policies cover you 100% (no deductable) for "road hazzard" damage such as a rock cracking the windshield. Now IF it occured as a result of a collision THEN your deductable would apply. But if thats's not the case then you're covered 100%.........

Call your insurance carrier and they will send you to a shop for repair.....just make sure it's a quality shop.

unfortunately, it's covered by my comprehensive (I'd be surprised if it wasn't that way with all insurance companies) and there is a $500 deductible. How much does is cost to replace the windshield without insurance?

Safelite wants $415 to replace the window. Is that a good price? Anyone have any experience with Safelite?

Safelite is good, used them before on my Pathfinder. They are usually very competitive.
