2015 Boxster

I am new to the forum, seeking advise. I plan to order the above, what percent purchase discount can I expect from a dealer. If the MSRP in the low $70s, what is a typical discount. Is it worth it $ to haggle with the dealer?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Uh, I don't think anyone but your specific dealer is going to be able to answer that. I imagine it varies from dealer to dealer. I also imagine it's harder to get a deal on a car that you order, rather than one that the dealer orders and has in stock for a period of time. For example, leftover 2014 models on the lot would probably be cheapest during the next few months. Never hurts to try to make a deal, especially if you have more than one source to buy the car from.

Let us know how it works out.

I'd take a look at edmunds to see how close others are getting to invoice for new ones.

My situation is from the UK but I am sure it would be similar for the US.

Find out what offers you can get at other dealers first. I found out what was available on a BMW M3 and a Mercedes AMG and went armed with that information.

If they know you are not completely sure they will offer incentives and discounts. I got 4% off the total price, plus I got them to include suregard and registration worth about another $1000.

If you are looking for new, I suggest going here:

981 Chat

Crowd there is more receptive and generally more active in discussing the 981.

For me there was no possibilty for discount when I order. There was a little bit of play on on hand 2013 model, but none with order.

I now have 800km on my 1week old 2014 981 and love it!

Later
