You can't protect your car from vandalism. If you want to capture footage of the vandalism being done, I again suggest you Google "in car video surveillance." There are systems available. Here's one example: brickhousesecurity.com

Those seem appealing and like they would be good for uploading porsche video as well, I am just worried that that only protects from the front and inside, more protection for on the road than when Parked.

Outside the house I have a "robot light" with camera built in .
At work there is CCTV .
Most parking lots and places I might visit have CCTV .
But tbh life's too short to worry about stuff like this .
I had a Clifford with proximity on a 964 I owned back in England .
I had it turned off about a week after the nieghbours little kids found out about " the car that makes funny noises"

Your only reliable protection is don't drive it to school. You don't want to catch him vandalizing your new Boxster, you want to prevent him from being able to do it! Security won't do that.
School must be nearly out for summer vacation anyway. Are you still a Junior? If so, I like the drive-a-beater-to-school idea.
This would make a good movie .

I wouldn't mind having some sort of dashcam/catch the $%^ that put a big door ding in my FJ a while back. But then I price them and never get around to it....

Jake, what you need is video surveillance. There are tons of dash cams out there, just do some research and pick one.
You can go all out on some expensive system, or do what I did; $20 cheapo dash cams from HK. One points forward, one backward.
I don't drive the 986 to campus much, but when I do, the cameras are always rolling. The units I purchased have night vision, motion detect, still shots, 1080 HD video and tons of advanced functions like loop recording.
I like to think that the sight of cameras themselves are a deterrent, but who knows. I do know this; I haven't had a single problem since I started using them and I used to get little door dings and scratches all the time

Below is a link to the cam that I purchased.
I'm sure there are better options out there for the price, but I didn't feel like searching through thousands of different cameras.
Very happy with how well they work for $20.

Okay, I just checked that link and that one is not HD, though the two that I purchased are and look the same.
That's one thing to watch out for; you want at least 720 HD or you won't be able to see enough detail.
