while on the subject of radio when i bought the S i did not get anything about my radio, i have since gotten the manual on line but i still have no idea about all the buttons under the radio head, memories (3 it seems) different setup hifi, classic etc..and two buttons dyn (dynamic i guess) and dsp (have no clue) anyone with an idea where i can get a manual for this as there is no model or make on it and it is seperated from the radio as such! (my thought is that it still must be a becker unit)

see ya!

So has anyone successfully replaced the head from a 987? Just got mine a couple weeks ago and already miss the ability to play MP3s and wouldn't mind adding on a slide-out nav system while I'm at it if I'm going to spend the cash.

But Crutchfield has the car as "not researched" as yet, and I am not familiar enough with the high-end installers in this area to know who to trust, of even if the kits are available yet (from anyone) for the 987 in regard to wiring harnesses and face plates.

Not that it helps, but if I still lived in Hotlanta, I'd do it with you. The "look" of the unit (fit into the dash, etc.) is always the hardest part. Making up a wiring harness and installing these things is easy. But alas, I'm way out in Porkland, OR.
