one of the most fascinating things to me about Porsche is how they can use marketing to change the way we see things. The 987 Cayman and Boxster are merely variants and are not different cars. Even Porsche does not separate them out when reporting their sales numbers to shareholders. The 997 Cabriolet and 997 coupe are also variants of the same car except that Porsche did not market spin a new model name for the Cabriolet. A 911 with a softop is still a Carrera. But a Cayman with a softop is a Boxster. Huh?? Ah Porsche marketing...
