Driver's Education logbook help

Need some help guys...

I'm driving in my first DE event next weekend with the goal of obtaining my PCA Club Racing License. My plan is to eventually chase Tom Stone and some of the others around the track in Boxster BSR racing.

You have to document your training and experience as part of the licensing process, so reaching back to my flying days in the USAF, I'm thinking a logbook and a training folder would be just the ticket.

I've found some Driver's Education logbooks by searching the internet, and found a version on the PCA website. Unfortunately the one on the PCA site is disabled to copy, and the others are kind of dated and generic.

I'm going to just build and print my own, but I'm wondering if anyone has a version they use that they can send me. (No need to totally re-invent the wheel.)

Also - anything you think would be useful as a "cheat sheet" or checklist to use in getting ready for DE events. I already have a chart showing the meaning and colors of the flagging system, several "bring this" checklists and a few other things, but I'm game to anything that would be of use.

I'm more than happy to share with anyone once I get a logbook set up, and I'll take any inputs or critiques to make a better logbook.

Any help?

Thanks!

Rick

When you do your first PCA DE, the lead instructor should be able to provide you a PCA DE logbook. Use this to keep record of your DE's. You'll need 12 (minimum) + PCA Chief Instructor certification saying that you're good enough to apply for Cup racing school.

PM me with your email address and I can send you some doc's that will be of use in your first DE and a track checklist.

Keep us up to date on how it goes!
