This might be similar to what I get with the Top Speed. I've always thought it was an exhaust rattle until things heat up a tiny bit. Maybe 5-10 seconds if I give it any gas off idle. Does not sound like it's coming from the engine. Sounds kind of like popcorn, as you described. Doesn't do it at idle.

I don't get anything like that at start up with my TS. I do get the popping at deceleration which I love hearing
