Yes, use Dawn or similar product it will strip all old was.

Used Dr. Color Chip today, excellent results. I was not always able to smear/smooth it like they said, so on some areas I would leave it high, then take it down with the wipe down chemical. It took a bit more effort but excellent results. I touched up everything from deep rock chips to some light scuff/scratches around the door handles. Great stuff!!
