Third (center) brake light fogged up

After washing and waxing my 2000S I noticed that the third brake light had fogging. At first I though it was on the lense but it seems to be behind it. Has anyone experienced this and if so how to fix? Thanks!

Mine is too.

I think it's sun or some other environmental damage.

I wouldn't know how to conclude it's on the inside.

I think a new one is the solution and am reluctant to buy used, as photos are likely inconclusive.

Could try plastic polish if haze is external.

Thanks! I'll give that a try! I also have some vinyl top stuff that I have used on my vinyl back window with good results.
