Is there any other purpose for those parking lamps besides being a parking lamp which I never use? First one side went out on mine, so I just left it, and a month or so later, the other side went out, so I just left it as well. Lol. Looks fine, and I don't need no stinkin parking lights.

Unless NJ is extremely lenient, you will need them at inspection time.

They never check whether the lights work on the car. In fact, I just passed mine a few months ago when one side was out. Lol

Well, there's the thing where you're (temporarily) driving with a burned out headlight bulb. Nice to have some light on that side so others can tell you're a car and not a motorcycle.

Porsche thinks they're so important as to provide multiple ways to turn them on--both, left only, right only.
