I know lots of people buy long distance unseen but with a PPI done by a local indy shop. I could not buy a car if I had not seen it personally. However if there is one or two you want checked out in this part of the world I can take a look for you, take some pics etc.
However I am not a mechanic but have owned my base 2001 Box for three years now. I bought mine privately locally. Buying in the US likely is cheaper but don't forget $US is worth more plus import hassles.
