There are a few items that have been redesigned due to issues with the original design, these things are worth checking:

-Make sure Coolant cap is newest design, PN 996.106.447.00
-Check Gas Cap for cracks on the o-ring
-Check Convertible Ball End Joints, if red replace with newer ones (not metal ones)
-Check Convertible Transmission Cables for stretching and replace with newer ones (mostly 97-99)

Some other things:
-Clean Drains, especial behind the driver's seat. Clogged drains can cause water to get under the driver's seat which can make the very expensive computer there fail.
-Clean the Throttle Body
-Reroute the frunk release cable to the tow opening (or elsewhere if you are savvy)
-Clean your radiators (requires removing the front bumper)
