Just spoke to RAC - It's the alternator that's shot and some fuses.

New one quoted at $1500+installation but Hans has been kind enough to look for Rebuilt/Salvaged ones out here.

Any advise on this will be appreciated.

Good grief, that's exorbitant!

Autozone sells a Durlast reman for $228.00. I've bought a reman from them in the past and have not had a problem. They will ship to your door, and you just bring the core back to your local Autozone when the job is complete.

Just sayin'..............

$1500.00 ?????
