I have 2000S on factory 17inch wheels and looking to upgrade.
I found a deal in craigslist
18" inch Original Porsche wheels, power coated in flat black in excellent condition.
Price:$1000
Specs:
Front - Size: 7.5x18 PCD: 5x130 Offset: ET50 C/Bore: 71.6mm

Rear - Size: 9x18 PCD: 5x130 Offset: ET52 C/Bore: 71.6mm



Or Should I go with cheaper Turbo Replicas?
Specifications:
Size: 18x8 Front / 18x10 Rear
Bolt Pattern: 5x130
Finish: GunMetal Machined Face
Offset: 50 Front / 47 or 62 Rear
Hubcentric: 71.6

Price $585 on Ebay

Wider would be nice, but I'd go with the Carrera wheels...much better look on the car IMO. You'll need a small (7mm) spacer perhaps in the rear, but I'm running 10s.

Yes, i would like to have them sit flush to fenders, what spacers size and brand u recommend?

Also what tires would be good ( i would drive the car only in summer)

IMHO, go OEM all the way.

I'm assuming that the Craigslist OEM wheels are available locally, and you can just drive to the seller and conduct the transaction.

I'm also assuming that the eBay wheels incur a shipping cost, which I can guarantee you is not cheap.

So, in the final analysis, excellent OEM wheels vs. Turbo replicas is a no brainer. At least it is for me.

I would only go oem. You don't want wheels that are possibly not hub centric.

I bought my spacers (5mm and 7mm, for a Non-Boxster) off of Fleabay, got all 4 for ~ $50 delivered and they work fine.

Thanks for all replies very helpfull, my car is arctic silver, yes craigslist rims are avaiable locally will go check them out this saturday, ebay rims have free shipping. So if i decide to go with oem, what tires are you recommending brand and size?

If you plan on tracking the car I would definitely go OEM. Personally, I think the 5 spokes look better.

The rear offset on the replica wheels is way too high for your vehicle. You'll need at least a 15mm spacer (preferably a 20mm) in order to correct the fitment.

Definitely go with the OEM, assuming they run true. Make sure you can return them if they are bent. It took a while for me to find used wheels that were not bent, but I made sure that I could return them if there were any issues. For my 18's, I got Michelin Pilot Super Sports(225/40ZR18XL's and 265/35ZR18XL's) from Discount Tire. Very happy with them. I got my spacers from Wheel Dynamics.

Boxster fit for $1k? If they are indeed genuine then You won't find that deal for a long time. If they are OEM Porsche they should run about 20 lbs, so Bring a bathroom scale stand on it then stand on it again holding the wheel over your head. The weight should only go up ~20lbs.

JD, did you miss the 47 option for rears? Yes the 62 would be way off, but 47 is the generally accepted offset for 10" rims for Boxsters. You'll still need a wheel spacer or you'll have issues with the wheel rubbing the e-brake cable.

I'd still vote the originals but don't want you to think the turbo replicas won't work.

I got answer from seller and they have correct orginal part numbers! I will take a scale and go check them out sunday

So what spacers do i need to bring them closer to sit flush?

You could easily add 10mm spacers both front and rear for a more flush look - without any clearance problems.
